Up, Up and Away!

In the airport. Will the two pm flight offer food? I can’t be the fat lady that asks that at the counter. Hmm.
My husband gets a sandwich to share. A Focaccia bread slab with some turkey and a micro thin slice of tomato. Luckily it’s got an overbearing taste of disgusting Dijon. Thank you God! I eat the turkey out of it. Dodged that 500 calorie bullet!

Lucky enough for upgrade. Still the seatbelt is too tight! The stewardess just ask that we keep the seatbelt loosely around our waist. Haha, she cracks me up! For anyone overweight, that sounds comical! There is no looseness here baby! It’s digging into my thighs. I’m not going anywhere!

Light lunch served on the plane. I say light because it was to me. I guess it was probably a normal portion to regular eaters. The small plate was full, half salad, half pasta with a pesto sauce. Delicious and hmmm, I don’t feel uncomfortably full. What a concept! That really works I just have to practice it. And I’m not sure why I put so much food on my plate. Day to day, reasons change. Sometimes part of me feels I deserve it, or it’s soooo good I have to eat a lot to really enjoy it, or, I may not eat for a while so I’d better pack it in. Why, I don’t know. But at each instance there seems to be some reason or urgency for which to eat.

I’m going to try and stay busy (yes, on the plane) and recite the old mantra “my meal is over, I go in peace”. Maybe I won’t think about food for a few minutes anyhow!

Anyone overweight been in a airplane restroom lately? Wow! By turning around I scrubbed all four walls clean. OMG it was small. I honestly don’t think I could have managed if I weighed one more pound! Another motivator!
